Client selections are an integral part of the scheduling process and can make or break a project completion deadline. Rothrock Construction offers design services for seamless selections during the preconstruction phase. When clients are selecting on their own, Rothrock Construction identifies items requiring client selections and alerts all parties to the decision timeline. Long-lead material orders are tracked to ensure timely delivery to the job site. In some cases, materials are imported from overseas, which requires additional tracking and an understanding of customs and import procedures.
Rothrock Construction utilizes BuilderTrend software for its scheduling needs. This powerful program tracks job progress and provides immediate feedback when conflicts and delays are encountered. Jobsite field personnel carry tablets with the latest software to read and edit schedules for immediate results. All clients can access their BuilderTrend portal remotely from a computer or through their online app on their mobile device. This allows our clients full access to view their project schedule, review daily logs and photos, and ask their superintendent in the field of project manager questions.
Budget Management
Budget management is key to every successful project at Rothrock Construction. From the beginning, preliminary conceptual budgets are compiled from available information. As the project progresses, the budget is constantly updated and monitored to provide the most reliable projection of the overall cost at completion.
Rothrock Construction believes in a “transparent, no surprise” policy that keeps clients constantly informed of cost savings and overruns compared to the budget. Many Rothrock Construction contracts are performed in a “cost-plus” format, which fully discloses the contracting process and encourages client participation at any level.
By receiving multiple subcontract bids, performing in-house quantity take-offs, and using historic cost analysis, Rothrock Construction can obtain the most value in construction services.
It is essential to provide clients with regular and accurate financial cost reports. Rothrock Construction has implemented the Sage 100 program as a company-wide solution to its project management and accounting needs. Clients receive a monthly progress payment detail report that is reviewed in person with their Project Manager.
