West Indies Waterfront
The West Indies Waterfront features a West Indies exterior, while the home interior captures the client's love of fishing and bright colors. The homeowners wanted to feature many family heirlooms throughout the home, which tie into a "palm beach style" with nautical elements. Located in Hobe Sound, Florida, this small town is unique in so many ways. With its collection of antique shops, funky eateries, art galleries, and nature parks, Hobe Sound embodies small beach town charm. Just minutes from Jupiter Island, this waterfront home is located at the southeastern point of Martin County.
The louvered iron doors, bronze-accented windows, and rafter tails along the roofline are traditional West Indies home features. Upon entering the house, you are greeted by dark wood tile throughout.
The high lacquer bar off the family room features brass boat cleat handles to tie in our client's joy of boating. The art light features our client's grandfather's painting as a tribute to their past.
The master bedroom features soft, neutral grasscloth and linen shade sconces that frame the custom bed. The dark tones of the bed give you a feel of being on the islands, with a traditional flare to incorporate the family heirlooms. The brightly colored artwork and pillows give you a tropical feel and make you feel like you are in Palm Beach.
Our clients wanted to feature some of their favorite architectural features from their home in the Exuma's. The coral stone flagging down their walkway to their boat dock tie in with the shell stone paver patio. The bright Aruba blue Adirondack chairs sit appointed on the dock, and the color is continued throughout the outdoor kitchen and the pool tile, making you feel you are in the Bahamas.
