When designing "Modern Pointe of View" Don Rothrock considered the shape of the property and how to maximize space and overall layout of the home. The lot creates a triangular shape that wraps around with wide body views, Don Rothrock capitalized on these views while designing the home. The vision of the home was to feel contemporary and clean, but with an industrial feel. The client wanted spaces to be open for entertaining, but also can be used to enclose as additional rooms, hidden pocket doors throughout the home gave privacy yet unobstructed views.
The open roof as you enter at the front door gives a contemporary feel while bringing additional light through the front entry, while the wood cladding above features a smokey grey wood tone for an organic feel. The custom made pivot door designed by Don Rothrock and produced by Cornerstone Companies is a true work of art as you enter the home. Walking into the main living area, you are taken back by the waterfront views overlooking the sunken fire pit in the backyard. The main living area showcases a see-through fireplace and unique contemporary chandelier above. A custom quartz dining table seating for 12 is a showpiece next to the two tone contemporary kitchen. A true entertainer's masterpiece!
The stained concrete floors throughout the home gives you the feel of walking into a high end hotel, while creating a soft space to not distract from the wrap-around views of the intracoastal. The natural feel of the concrete and coloration looks like a work of art as you walk through the 6,000 sq foot home.
As you enter the master bedroom wing, an office is tucked away by hidden doors and following down the hall you are captivated by a bookmatched slab master bathroom. The master shower glass floats into the floor to ceiling window looking out at the private garden and outdoor shower area. The breakfast nook in the master bathroom is the perfect place to grab a coffee or snack while you are getting ready. The master closet off the bathroom features floor to ceiling cabinetry with a rolling ladder around the perimeter of the closet. Custom glass cabinet doors match the chandelier in the space and showcases the homeowners precious possessions as a beautiful entry piece. The built-in vanity below the window sets off plenty of light for when getting ready to start the day.
The master bedroom was designed by Rothrock Construction & Design and features a drop down projector screen from the ceiling to not obstruct from the wrap-around views. The upholstered bed was custom made by our design team and creates a soft elegance and acoustic purpose to the room. The antique mirrors along the side of the bed gives it the contemporary and industrial feel. Outside of the master bedroom is a built-in fireplace to relax in the evenings or read a book.
